Facial skin is thinner and absorbs more steroid. Long-term use there can cause skin thinning and other changes.
Usually for short courses (1–2 weeks). Continuous long-term use is generally avoided.
Ointment penetrates better and is preferred for thick, dry skin. Cream is lighter and often preferred for moist or hairy areas.
