Gabapentin

Used for nerve pain, certain seizure types, and other off-label indications

Gabapentin is widely used for nerve pain (sciatica, diabetic nerve pain, post-shingles pain), some seizure types, and other off-label uses. Doses are titrated up over days to weeks.

How the pharmacy helps

We dispense 100 mg, 300 mg, 400 mg, 600 mg, and 800 mg. Doses are commonly split through the day. The pharmacist will review combinations with opioids and benzodiazepines because of additive sedation.
