Letrozole

Aromatase inhibitor for breast cancer

Letrozole (Femara) is used in hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women, often as 5–10 years of daily therapy. Joint pain and bone loss are common; osteoporosis monitoring is part of follow-up.

How the pharmacy helps

We dispense 2.5 mg tablets. Many patients also take a bisphosphonate or denosumab for bone protection.
