Levodopa/Carbidopa (Sinemet)

Mainstay therapy for Parkinson's disease

Levodopa is the precursor to dopamine; carbidopa stops it from being broken down before reaching the brain. Together they are the most effective Parkinson's therapy. Doses are usually multiple times daily and timing matters.

How the pharmacy helps

We dispense regular and CR tablets in several strengths. The pharmacist can prepare a daily blister with on-time alarms for patients who need to dose every 3–4 hours.
