Prednisone

Oral corticosteroid — short courses for many inflammatory conditions

Prednisone is an oral steroid used for many inflammatory conditions — asthma flares, autoimmune diseases, allergic reactions, certain cancers, and more. Short courses are common; long courses come with substantial side effects.

How the pharmacy helps

We dispense 1, 5, and 50 mg tablets. Take with food. Long courses are tapered, never stopped abruptly.
