COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions
Sertraline Questions

Mild jitteriness, GI upset, or sleep change in the first 1–2 weeks is common. Severe agitation, suicidal thoughts, or worsening depression should be reported the same day.
Most patients stay on it at least 6–12 months. Do not stop abruptly — the prescriber will plan a taper.
Alcohol can blunt the effect and worsen sleep and mood. Talk to the pharmacist about your usual intake.
