A new chapter for Taché Pharmacy

Taché Pharmacy is under new ownership. The change is important for the business, but it does not change where patients go, how prescriptions are transferred, or how to reach the pharmacy.

The pharmacy remains at 400 Taché Ave in St. Boniface, directly across from St. Boniface Hospital. Existing prescription records remain with the pharmacy, and patients can continue using the same phone and fax numbers.

Taché Pharmacy has served the St. Boniface community for decades. The pharmacy was shaped by Dr. William Balacko, PharmD, and by a team that became part of daily care for many patients, families, and prescriber offices.

That foundation matters. The work ahead is about carrying the pharmacy forward while keeping the practical services patients already rely on.

Patients can continue to call, visit, request refills, and ask medication questions the same way they normally would. Behind the scenes, we are improving systems, updating workflows, and organizing information so the pharmacy is easier to work with.

Those changes support the daily work of the pharmacy: filling prescriptions, preparing compounded medications when prescribed, helping patients understand their medications, coordinating refills, and answering practical questions from patients, caregivers, and clinic teams.
