COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about
mobility products

A rollator has four wheels, hand brakes, and usually a seat. A two-wheel walker is simpler and more stable indoors, but does not provide a built-in place to sit.
A transport chair is pushed by a caregiver and is usually lighter. A wheelchair has larger rear wheels so the user may self-propel, depending on strength and setup.
Rental can make sense for short recovery periods. Purchase is usually better for ongoing daily use or when the product must be fitted to a specific preference.
Bring the user height and weight, seat width needs if known, and car trunk or storage measurements if the device must fold for transport.
Many products do not require a prescription to buy, but private plans may ask for a prescriber note. Check your plan or call us before visiting.
