HOW TO ACCESS

How to Get Your Supplies

Three simple steps from your first call to delivery at your door.

1

Call, come in, or send a list

Phone us, drop by 400 Taché Ave, or email a list. If you have a product name or SKU from a clinic, even better — we will match it exactly.

2

We check coverage and stock

Many items are covered under Manitoba Pharmacare, the Manitoba Ostomy Program (MOP), Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB), Veterans Affairs, or private insurance. We verify before you pay.

3

Pick up or have it delivered

Same-day pickup when in stock, or free delivery across Winnipeg. Recurring supply needs can be set up on auto-refill so you never run out.

FREE IN-STORE

Sharps Disposal Program

Used needles, syringes, and lancets never belong in the trash or recycling. Bring them to us — disposal is free.

What we accept

  • • Used needles and lancets
  • • Syringes (insulin, injection)
  • • Epinephrine autoinjectors (EpiPen)
  • • Insulin pens and pen needles

How to bring them in

Use a rigid, puncture-proof container — a free sharps container from us, or a heavy plastic bottle like a laundry detergent jug with the lid on tight. Drop off any time during pharmacy hours.

Sharps accepted under the Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) collection program, available at participating Manitoba pharmacies.

FREE IN-STORE

Manitoba Medications Return Program

Don't flush old prescriptions or toss them in the trash. Bring unused and expired medications to us — disposal is free, anonymous, and environmentally safe.

What we accept

  • • Unused or expired prescription medications
  • • Over-the-counter medicines
  • • Vitamins, supplements, and natural health products
  • • Pills, capsules, liquids, creams, patches

Sharps go through the separate sharps program above. We can't accept aerosols, illicit substances, or large quantities of healthcare-facility waste.

How to bring them in

Drop off any time during pharmacy hours. You can leave items in their original containers — labels and personal information are fine; everything is destroyed under secure conditions. No appointment needed, no questions asked.

Medications accepted under the Manitoba Medications Return Program, run by the Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) at participating pharmacies across the province.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Have Questions?
Medical Supply Questions

Often yes. If it is a supply we do not have on the shelf, we can order most items and have them in within 1 to 2 business days. Call us with a product name — even just a brand or description — and we will track it down.
Pharmacare covers many prescribed medications and some supplies (for example, certain incontinence supplies when medically necessary). Ostomy supplies are covered under the separate Manitoba Ostomy Program (MOP). Our staff can verify your coverage before you buy.
The Manitoba Ostomy Program (MOP) covers pouches, wafers, and accessories for registered Manitobans with an ostomy. Enrolment is straightforward — we help you complete the forms and manage recurring orders so you do not have to think about it.
Never put sharps in regular garbage or recycling. Bring used needles, lancets, and syringes to us in a rigid, puncture-proof container — a free sharps container from the pharmacy, or a heavy plastic bottle like a laundry detergent jug with the lid on tight. We accept sharps for safe disposal at no charge through the Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) program.
Bring them to us — never flush medications or throw them in the garbage. We accept unused and expired prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and supplements at no charge through the Manitoba Medications Return Program. Items go straight into our secure return bin and are destroyed under controlled conditions. Original containers and labels are fine. Sharps go through the separate sharps program; we can't accept aerosols or illicit substances.
Our pharmacists can help with sizing and product selection for ostomy pouches and basic compression items. For measured graduated compression (precise mmHg sizing), our sister Taché Pharmacy locations have fitters on staff — we can refer you and, where useful, coordinate supply.
Yes. Take-Home Naloxone (THN) kits are free in Manitoba — no prescription, no cost. Anyone who might witness an opioid overdose can pick one up: family members, friends, caregivers, workplaces. We walk you through when and how to use it.
Yes — free delivery across Winnipeg for prescriptions and medical supplies. For recurring needs (incontinence, ostomy, diabetic test strips, enteral formula), we can set up auto-refill so deliveries come on a schedule.
Light therapy is well-supported for seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and winter low mood. The usual recommendation is a 10,000-lux lamp for 20 to 30 minutes in the morning, starting in the fall when daylight drops. We help you pick a lamp with the right specs and walk through how to use it. If low mood is significant or persistent, talk to your doctor as well.
