Acetaminophen with Codeine (T1s, T2s, T3s, T4s)

Combination opioid analgesic — short-course use

Combinations of acetaminophen, caffeine, and codeine are used for moderate pain. The "T" numbering refers to codeine strength: T1 has 8 mg, T2 has 15 mg, T3 has 30 mg, T4 has 60 mg. T1 is available behind the counter; T2 and stronger require a prescription.

T1 is a non-prescription codeine product. Manitoba law requires a pharmacist consultation, including for repeat purchases.
Each tablet has 300 or 325 mg of acetaminophen. Stay below 4 g (4,000 mg) per day from all sources.
Codeine can cause drowsiness. Avoid driving until you know how it affects you.
