Iron Supplements (Ferrous Gluconate, Sulfate, Fumarate)

Iron tablets for iron-deficiency anemia

Iron supplements treat iron-deficiency anemia. The three common forms (gluconate, sulfate, fumarate) have different elemental iron amounts per tablet — that is why doses do not look interchangeable.

How the pharmacy helps

We stock all three common salts. Take with vitamin C (juice) and avoid taking with calcium, antacids, or coffee. Stool turns dark — that is normal.
