Latanoprost

Eye drops for glaucoma — once-daily

Latanoprost (Xalatan) lowers eye pressure in glaucoma. Once daily, usually at bedtime. Side effects include eyelash darkening and lengthening, and occasional iris colour change.

How the pharmacy helps

We dispense the bottle. The pharmacist will demo proper instillation: clean hands, head back, look up, drop in the lower lid pocket, close eye gently for 1 minute, press inner corner.

Refrigerate unopened. Once opened, room temperature for 4 weeks. Discard after that.
