Timolol Eye Drops
Beta blocker eye drops for glaucoma
Timolol (Timoptic) eye drops lower eye pressure. Once or twice daily. Even in eye drops, enough is absorbed to affect heart rate or breathing in susceptible patients.
How the pharmacy helps
We dispense the gel-forming and regular drops. Pressing the inner corner after instillation reduces systemic absorption.

Punctal occlusion — pressing the inner eye corner for 1 minute keeps drug in the eye instead of draining to the throat and being absorbed.
