Loperamide

Anti-diarrheal — Imodium

Loperamide (Imodium) slows the gut to control diarrhea. It is appropriate for traveler's diarrhea, IBS-D, and short-term acute diarrhea — but not for fever-and-bloody-stool illness, which needs medical attention.

How the pharmacy helps

We stock 2 mg caplets. The pharmacist will check that diarrhea is appropriate to slow before suggesting a course.
