PEG 3350 (Polyethylene Glycol)

Osmotic laxative for occasional constipation and bowel prep

PEG 3350 (RestoraLAX, Lax-A-Day) is an osmotic laxative — it draws water into the bowel to soften stool. Standard daily dose for adult constipation is 17 g (one capful). Larger doses are used for colonoscopy preparation.

How the pharmacy helps

We stock the standard 510 g bottles. Large bowel-prep kits (with electrolytes) are typically pre-ordered when a colonoscopy is scheduled.
