Midazolam

Short-acting benzodiazepine used in palliative care and procedural sedation

Midazolam is a fast-acting, short-acting benzodiazepine. In community pharmacy it is most often dispensed for palliative-care symptom control or planned procedures. Subcutaneous and oral formulations are available.
