Nicotine Replacement Therapy (Patch, Gum, Lozenge, Inhaler)

OTC support for quitting smoking

Nicotine replacement (Nicoderm patches, Nicorette gum and lozenges, Nicorette inhaler) replaces some of the nicotine from smoking to ease cravings while you quit. Patches give steady background; gum, lozenges, and inhalers handle breakthrough cravings. Combining a patch with as-needed gum or lozenge is more effective than either alone.

How the pharmacy helps

We stock 7, 14, and 21 mg patches, plus 2 and 4 mg gum and lozenges. The pharmacist can match the strength to how much you smoke and build a step-down schedule.
