Smoking cessation aid
Varenicline (Champix) helps people quit smoking by reducing cravings and blunting the reward of nicotine. A 12-week course is standard. The Manitoba Smoking Cessation program may cover it — see /services/quit-smoking.
How the pharmacy helps
We dispense the 0.5 mg / 1 mg starter pack, then ongoing 1 mg twice daily. Set a quit day for week 2 of the course.
