Shingrix (Shingles Vaccine)

Two-dose recombinant vaccine for shingles prevention

Shingrix is a two-dose vaccine that prevents shingles and post-herpetic neuralgia. Recommended for adults 50+ (and immunocompromised adults 18+). Two doses 2–6 months apart. Strongly protective.

Yes — both are needed for full protection. Dose 2 is given 2–6 months after dose 1.
Sore arm, fatigue, and feeling unwell for 1–2 days are common, often more noticeable after dose 2.
