Combination inhaled steroid + long-acting bronchodilator
Symbicort combines a steroid (budesonide) and a long-acting bronchodilator (formoterol). Used daily in asthma and COPD. Some asthma plans use it as both maintenance and reliever (SMART therapy).
We dispense the Turbuhaler and pressurized inhaler. Rinse and spit after each dose to prevent thrush.
