This is a compounded liquid suspension of two antibiotics — sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim — made for children or adults who have difficulty swallowing tablets. It can be flavored (cherry, bubble gum, and others) to improve palatability.
Concentration: 40 mg sulfamethoxazole / 8 mg trimethoprim per mL (200 mg/40 mg per 5 mL).
