Apixaban

Blood thinner (DOAC) for stroke prevention and clot treatment

Apixaban (Eliquis) reduces the chance of clots and strokes in patients with atrial fibrillation, and treats clots in the legs or lungs. Unlike warfarin, it does not require regular INR blood tests.

If it is within 6 hours of the missed time, take it as soon as you remember. If more than 6 hours, skip it and take the next dose normally. Do not double up.
These add bleeding risk. Talk to the pharmacist or prescriber before combining.
