Blood Glucose Test Strips
Strips that pair with home meters for blood sugar testing
Test strips are paired with a blood glucose meter to measure blood sugar at home. Each meter brand uses a specific strip. We can help you check that you have the right kind for your meter.
How the pharmacy helps
We stock common strip brands behind the counter. Many provincial benefit plans cover a fixed number per year — we can submit through your coverage. Strips have an expiry date and should not be used past it.

Storage
Keep the bottle tightly closed. Do not store in humid bathrooms or hot cars. Check the expiry on the bottle.
Bring in your meter, or check the brand name printed on it. The strip box has to match.
Expired strips can give wrong readings. Discard once past the date.
Many do, often with a yearly limit. We can check coverage at the till.
