Nitroglycerin (Nitro Spray, Tablets, Patch)

Fast-acting relief for angina (chest pain)

Nitroglycerin opens up blood vessels quickly to relieve angina chest pain. The spray (Nitrolingual) and sublingual tablets work in 1–3 minutes; the patch is for long-acting prevention.

How the pharmacy helps

We dispense the spray, sublingual tablets, and the patch. Spray opens easily and is now usually preferred over tablets. Replace before expiry — old nitro is less effective.
