COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions
Ramipril Questions

A persistent dry cough is a known side effect of ACE inhibitors. Mention it to your prescriber — there is a related class (ARBs) that often does not cause the cough.
Ramipril can raise potassium levels. Talk to your prescriber before adding a potassium supplement or salt substitute.
There is no fixed rule. Take it the same time each day. Some people take it at bedtime if it makes them feel lightheaded.
