Metronidazole

Antibiotic for anaerobic and protozoal infections

Metronidazole (Flagyl) treats anaerobic bacterial infections, dental infections, C. difficile, and certain parasites. Notable: a strong reaction with alcohol means it should be avoided during and shortly after the course.
